Prime Minister should immediately withdraw the statement to award Nobel Prize to President Trump: Pakistan Peace Council

Political and social leaders have strongly demanded that the Prime Minister of Pakistan immediately withdraw his statement supporting a Nobel Prize for US President Donald Trump, due to his complicity in Israeli actions in Gaza. This demand was made during a meeting of the Pakistan Peace Council on the Palestine conflict.

Presiding over the meeting, Chairman of Karachi Grand Alliance, Muhammad Aslam Khan, condemned the “atrocities of the usurper Israel” on the population of Gaza. He stressed that President Trump’s full support for Israel is the reason its forces have “crossed all limits of oppression,” making the American leader a partner in this crime. Khan affirmed that the Pakistani nation stands fully with the Palestinians for a one-state solution.

Head of Pakistan Peace Council, Tariq Mahmood Madani, delivering a special address, declared Palestine and Gaza as the world’s most important issue. He stressed that the Muslim Ummah is united on this matter, and is committed to rejecting the two-state solution and not recognizing the “illegitimate existence of Israel.”

The host of the meeting, social leader Aslam Khan Farooqui, referenced the founder of the nation, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. He recalled the Quaid’s directive that Pakistan should never recognize Israel, even if the whole world does. Farooqui warned the government against deviating from this principle and said that the country is already “on the brink of destruction” for straying from its founding objectives.

Other speakers, including Tehseen Kamal, Adil Abbasi, and Shabana Sahar, also addressed the meeting and reiterated their commitment to continue expressing solidarity with the Palestinians. The event was held at the Alliance’s office and was organized by Farooqui in collaboration with the Karachi Grand Alliance.
