Karachi police have arrested 15 individuals in a decisive crackdown against the distribution of Gutka/Mawa and Supari. These arrests were made during targeted operations conducted within the jurisdictions of Kalri, Baghdadi, Kalakot, Nabi Bakhsh, and Napier police stations.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Muhammad Ali alias Maim, Kamran, Aamir, Noman, Ashiq Ali, Zubair, Shehryar, Ahmed, Muhammad Ayub, Abdul Haseeb, Muhammad Siddique, Abdul Majeed Dashti, Muhammad Owais, Muhammad Zeeshan alias Jimmy, and Imran. These individuals are known as habitual offenders, with several having been previously arrested in connection with the illegal Gutka/Mawa trade.

Notably, Zeeshan alias Jimmy has a record of imprisonment in four previous Gutka/Mawa cases, while Ahmed has also faced imprisonment in a similar case. A large quantity of the prohibited items was recovered as a result of the current enforcement action. Authorities have registered cases against the accused at the respective police stations.
