Senator Dilawar Khan has been unanimously elected as the new Chairman of the Senate Standing Committee on Inter-Provincial Coordination, a pivotal body tasked with fostering harmony among Pakistan’s provinces and reinforcing the national federation.

The election took place on Thursday during a formal session at Parliament House. The proceedings were conducted in strict accordance with Rule 184(1) of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the Senate, 2012, which governs the appointment of a committee’s chairperson.

Following the unopposed selection, members of the panel extended their congratulations to the newly appointed leader. They expressed strong confidence in his capacity to effectively steer the committee’s significant work in enhancing cooperation between the provincial governments.

The meeting was attended by fellow parliamentarians including Senators Niaz Ahmed, Hiidayatullah Khan, and Manzoor Ahmed Kakar. Senior officials from the Senate of Pakistan were also present to oversee the formal process.
