Security forces have successfully neutralized 30 Indian-sponsored terrorists in a significant “retribution operation” in the Orakzai district, avenging a recent attack that resulted in the martyrdom of 11 Pakistan Army personnel, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) announced Friday.

According to a statement from the military’s media wing, the intelligence-driven offensive was launched in the Jamal Maya area of Orakzai. The mission targeted the individuals believed to be the primary perpetrators of the deadly October 7 incident. An intense exchange of fire during the operation resulted in the elimination of all 30 militants present.

The earlier ambush on October 7 claimed the lives of 11 security officials, including two high-ranking officers: Lieutenant Colonel Junaid Tariq and Major Tayyab Rahat. The military affirmed that this successful counter-terrorism action has brought the culprits to justice.

“These successful operations have avenged the heinous act and brought the main perpetrators to justice,” the ISPR statement read. It was also noted that sanitisation efforts are continuing in the region to track down and eliminate any remaining hostile elements sponsored by India.

The ISPR reiterated the armed forces’ unwavering commitment to “eradicate and wipe out the menace of Indian-sponsored terrorism from the country.”

This major operation follows another recent engagement earlier in the week. In that intelligence-based mission in the Daraban area of Dera Ismail Khan, security forces killed seven alleged Indian proxy terrorists. Major Sibtain Haider, a 30-year-old officer from Quetta, embraced martyrdom while leading his troops from the front during that encounter.

The Pakistan Army, during its 272nd Corps Commanders’ Conference, recently reaffirmed its resolve to dismantle all networks that undermine national security, specifically vowing to neutralize Indian-sponsored terror outfits such as Fitna Al-Khawarij and Fitna Al-Hindustan. The forum also declared that the nexus between terrorism, organised crime, and vested political interests would no longer be tolerated.
