Admission test for 2300 seats held at Latif University Khairpur, more than 5400 candidates participated

Approximately 5,440 candidates applied for just 2,300 available seats and participated in the institution’s Pre-Entry Test 2026 at Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur on Tuesday, which was conducted in a peaceful and organized manner.

During a visit to the examination centers, Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Yousuf Khushk appreciated the joint efforts of the university’s faculty, officers, employees, and student volunteers for the smooth conduct of the test. He attributed the success of the event to the “spirit, unity, and hard work” of the entire institutional community.

Dr. Khushk described the large number of applicants as proof of the public’s growing confidence in the university. He said, “The increasing number of admission applications is evidence that the public trusts us because our teachers, officers, and employees are providing quality education and facilities.”

The Vice-Chancellor pointed to a welcome trend in women’s education, stating that approximately 1,100 female students were among this year’s applicants. He termed the increasing participation of women in higher education as a very positive sign for society.

Reiterating the university’s commitment to student welfare, Dr. Khushk affirmed that their primary focus is on academic excellence. He announced, “We will not accept any compromise when it comes to students and their education,” adding that the university is committed to providing a comprehensive education based on ethical and human values.

He further stated that to ensure financial issues do not become a barrier to education, the university distributed scholarships worth 13 crore rupees among deserving students last year. Dr. Khushk also mentioned that the institution has signed several Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with national and international organizations, which are proving beneficial for both students and faculty.

The Vice-Chancellor announced that the results of the Pre-Entry Test will be released soon.

After the event, the university’s teaching and administrative staff congratulated Dr. Khushk and praised his leadership and commitment to academic standards, which they credited for the successful completion of the testing process.

Pro-Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Wahid Bux Jatoi, several deans, heads of departments, and other university officials were also present on the occasion.
