Higher Education – UVAS Leaps Forward in Global University Rankings, Securing Position Among Top 800 Institutions

The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) has made a substantial jump in global academic standings, securing a place among the world”s 601-800 best universities in the newly released Times Higher Education (THE) World University Ranking 2026.

According to the university report today, this new placement represents a significant climb for the Lahore-based institution, which has improved its position from the 801-1000 bracket in the previous rankings. The university administration considers this a remarkable achievement for the institution.

The accomplishment is being credited to the leadership of UVAS Vice-Chancellor Meritorious Prof Dr Muhammad Younus. In a statement, Prof Dr Younus congratulated all faculty, administrative personnel, and support staff on the great success.

He described the milestone as a testament to the “relentless dedication, hard work, and collective efforts of the entire UVAS family.” The Vice-Chancellor added that everyone played an integral role in elevating the university’s academic and research profile on the global stage.

Prof Dr Younus also extended specific appreciation for the persistent efforts of the Directorate of Quality Enhancement, acknowledging their role in presenting the university”s data effectively to achieve the fruitful results.
