2 accused of robbery at Thatta distribution agency arrested, looted money and 2 mobile phones recovered

Thatta police on Wednesday arrested two main accused in the robbery committed a week ago at Abdul Rahim Nahrio’s distribution agency and recovered 50 thousand from the looted money and 2 mobile phones

The accused, Shamir Memon and Imam Bakhsh Khaskheli, have confessed to several incidents and serious crimes not only in Thatta but also in nearby districts such as Badin and Malir. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Thatta, Farooq Ahmed Bijarani, told the media that a special police unit was assigned to investigate the robbery that took place in the bustling area of Shirazi Muhalla.

The police, under a systematic strategy, successfully arrested Memon and Khaskheli, who confessed to their involvement in the crime. They revealed that they, along with several of their accomplices, had held the staff of the distribution agency hostage and fled with 190,000 rupees in cash and mobile devices.

The court has taken the arrested individuals on remand, and law enforcement agencies are continuing their efforts to find their remaining accomplices. The police’s pursuit of justice highlights their commitment to maintaining law and order, as they are intensifying their investigative operations to bring all culprits to justice.
