Chitral University Job Fair Concludes with 36 On-the-Spot Hires

A major recruitment drive at the University of Chitral has resulted in the immediate hiring of 36 students and graduates for various roles, providing a significant boost to local youth employment following a successful talent hunt and job fair.

According to the university information today, the event was a collaborative effort between the university”s Department of Management Sciences and Economics and the Lahore-based company, Cakes and Bakes. The initiative aimed to connect graduating students with tangible career pathways.

Proceedings commenced with a welcome address from Dr. Rizwan Ullah, the Head of the Department of Management Sciences. Following this, Mr. Salman Saeed, General Manager for Cakes and Bakes, delivered a presentation outlining the company’s human resources policies and opportunities for professional growth.

Students from diverse academic backgrounds, including Management Sciences, Economics, Tourism and Hotel Management, and Commerce College Chitral, actively participated in the selection process, which involved a written examination and subsequent interviews.

The recruitment drive concluded with numerous on-the-spot appointments. The positions filled include five Sales Executives, ten male Management Trainee Officers (MTOs), two female Chef MTOs, and three female Supply Chain MTOs. Additionally, sixteen students secured paid internships with the organization.

In his concluding remarks, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Chitral extended his gratitude to both Mr. Saeed and the company”s HR Manager, Mr. Ishtiaq Ahmed. He acknowledged their valuable time and commitment to fostering employment opportunities for the youth in the Chitral region.
