The Sindh government provided financial assistance to underprivileged families within the Sikh community during a ceremony marking the 556th birth anniversary of Baba Guru Nanak, where a key provincial advisor reiterated the administration”s commitment to minority welfare.
As the chief guest at the Karachi Gurdwara event today, Dr. Sham Sundar Advani, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister and Advisor for Minority Affairs, distributed the aid cheques. He was warmly received by Sikh community leaders, including Ramesh Singh Khalsa, Lashman Singh, and Arjun Singh.
The event was also attended by Parliamentary Secretary MPA Roma Mushtaq and Secretary for Minority Affairs Anjum Iqbal.
In his address, Dr. Advani emphasized that serving humanity is a paramount value that transcends religious identity. “Whether one is Sikh, Hindu, or Christian-serving all is our moral duty,” he stated.
The advisor affirmed that the provincial government is dedicated to the advancement of minority groups, operating under a mission set by Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. “The Sindh government stands with minorities; we will celebrate all joys together, and Pakistan is a great center of peace and love,” Dr. Advani remarked.
He concluded by referencing the party”s leadership, noting that former President Asif Ali Zardari has consistently championed the rights of non-majority communities and that the current administration continues to implement Bilawal Bhutto’s vision.
