A key meeting was held on Monday at Durbar Hall, DC Office Qambar, on the issue of illegal deductions by middlemen during the purchase of paddy and other crops. The meeting, presided over by Deputy Commissioner Qambar Shahdadkot Imdad Ali Abro, was attended by Sindh Abadgar Board provincial leader Mohsin Ali Qazi, leaders of the Rice Mill Association, Hari Ittehad, Director Agriculture, Assistant Commissioners, law enforcement agencies, and other relevant officials.
The meeting provided an opportunity for Mohsin Ali Qazi and other agricultural experts to present their detailed complaints, while representatives of the Rice Mill Association voiced their concerns. Deputy Commissioner Imdad Ali Abro listened attentively to the various viewpoints presented.
A significant agreement was reached, under which no deductions will be made for a period of three days, allowing the involved parties to consult with their leadership. This temporary arrangement was unanimously accepted, and a further meeting was scheduled after the three-day period to further address the concerns and reach a final conclusion.
