Okara’s Civil Defence Officer Javed Akhtar Khechi on Wednesday launched a major crackdown against illegal LPG outlets and petrol agencies, resulting in the closure of 15 businesses and the initiation of 7 legal cases. The latest action took place in Tehsil Depalpur and Renala Khurd where the officer targeted businesses involved in unauthorized activities and sealed the premises of 15 vendors.
In Tehsil Renala Khurd, four cases were registered against illegal LPG distributors. While in Depalpur, FIRs were filed against the owners of three petrol stations, and fines were imposed on the violating shopkeepers.
Officer Javed Akhtar Khechi expressed his commitment to ensuring public safety, stating that strict actions will continue against those who violate the directives of the Punjab government. The authorities aim to protect the community from the potential dangers associated with the unlicensed distribution of LPG and fuel.
