Capital’s Top Cop Mandates Urgent Legal Support and Enhanced Welfare for Police Force

Inspector General of Police (IGP) for the capital, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, to issued special instructions to expedite welfare initiatives and guarantee legal assistance for investigating officers handling crucial cases, signaling a significant push to bolster the force”s operational and legal capabilities.

The directives were issued during a high-level meeting focused on officer welfare and legal matters, which was also attended by DIG Headquarters Malik Jamil Zafar and AIG Legal Tahir Kazim.

During the session, the IGP conducted a detailed review of measures aimed at enhancing the police force”s capacity, the effective utilization of available resources, and improved management of logistic support. The progress of ongoing special projects was also scrutinized.

Emphasizing the need for operational readiness, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi also gave special orders for the timely provision of necessary facilities to police personnel, enabling them to perform their professional duties more effectively.

The police chief thoroughly examined the existing investigation system and reviewed the status of cases currently under investigation. He received updates on judicial proceedings and consulted with the legal team on a variety of legal matters.

Concluding the meeting, the IGP instructed for the timely finalization of legal proceedings in pending court cases and mandated strict adherence to judicial orders. He further called for strengthened coordination among all police divisions to guarantee safe and efficient services for the public.
