Pakistan Unveils 500 Fully Funded Scholarships for Bangladeshi Students

The Government of Pakistan has announced 500 fully funded Allama Muhammad Iqbal scholarships for Bangladeshi students to pursue higher education in top-ranked Pakistani institutions, a key component of the newly promoted Pakistan-Bangladesh Knowledge Corridor.

According to official information today, the scholarship announcement coincided with a series of educational expositions organized in Bangladesh by a delegation from Pakistan”s Higher Education Commission (HEC) and representatives from 15 prominent Pakistani universities. The events were held at Southern University and the University of Chittagong.

At Southern University, founder Prof. Dr. Sarwar Jahan welcomed the Pakistani contingent. A comprehensive seminar, attended by the university”s Vice Chancellor Dr. Sharif Ashrafulzzaman and other senior academic staff, provided detailed information on scholarship eligibility, application procedures, student and faculty exchange opportunities, and potential for joint research projects.

Following the seminar, an expo drew hundreds of students who visited individual university booths to inquire directly about admissions criteria, specific academic programs, and scholarship details.

A similar exposition at the University of Chittagong was formally inaugurated by its Vice Chancellor, Dr. Muhammad Yeahia Akhter, and Pakistan”s Deputy High Commissioner, Mr. Muhammad Wasif. The event attracted a significant audience, including university faculty, members of the local press, and numerous students accompanied by their parents, who received briefings on the academic opportunities available.
