Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said on Monday that Sindh has always stood at the heart of Pakistan’s story, a land of vision, sacrifice, and courage, adding institutions like Cadet College Petaro ensure that Sindh continues to give this country leaders forged in discipline, and guided by principle.
Addressing the Parents’ Day ceremony at Cadet College Petaro, Bilawal said through professionalism, preparedness, and unity of command, Pakistan defended its sovereignty and secured a clear military success. The PPP chairmen said that this ceremony is not about history or heritage. “It is about you and the future you are now entrusted with. Here you learned that discipline is not punishment, it is freedom. Freedom from chaos, freedom from doubt, and freedom to lead when others hesitate.
The PPP chairman state that this institution also holds personal meaning for my family as my father, President, once stood where you stand today. It is the education that he received here at Cadet College Petaro, that allowed him the distinction to serve as the only civilian to be elected to the office of President twice. He said not everyone who enters Petaro completes this journey, but you did. That alone tells us something important about you. Cadet College Petaro is not merely a place of education. It is a crucible.
He said that today, you stand at a moment that will remain with you for the rest of your lives. Years from now, when titles change and paths diverge, you will still remember these grounds because this is where discipline became identity, and responsibility became instinct.
