The flag of truth has been raised in Bangladesh after eternal sacrifices: Jamaat-e-Islami

A senior leader of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) has claimed that the flag of truth has been raised in Bangladesh after eternal sacrifices. The party has become a major political force in Bangladesh following the departure of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina Wajed, attributing this change to the fifty-year-long “eternal sacrifices” of its members.

Addressing a training session organized by JI Nawabshah on Tuesday, central leader Rashid Naseem stated that after decades of hardship, including the execution of dozens of leaders and the imprisonment of thousands of workers, the country’s situation has “taken a new turn.” He emphasized that as a result of the organization’s perseverance, “the flag of truth has been raised.”

As evidence of the party’s growing influence, Naseem highlighted the recent success of its student wing, which he said has won union elections in all major educational institutions in Bangladesh.

Drawing parallels with global events, the JI leader compared the party’s struggle to that of Hamas in Gaza. He said that Hamas’s long struggle against Israel prompted millions worldwide to protest in support of Palestinians, which eventually forced Israel and the United States to a ceasefire. Similarly, he predicted, “the coming era belongs to the religion of nature.”

Naseem advised followers to carve their own path within the principles of the Quran and Sunnah rather than adopting the methods of opposing ideologies. He explained that divine laws and history differentiate between genuine and fake Islamic movements, and when a movement meets the required standards, it begins to move towards success.

Emphasizing that the ultimate reward for religious work is in the hereafter, he commented that “an era of these successes is also beginning in this world.” He claimed that the rapid progress of the Islamic movement in Bangladesh has compelled “oppressive forces” to conspire to create obstacles in its path.

He urged party workers to strengthen their connection with the public and their personal relationship with Allah, stating that the solution to societal problems lies in the system of the Quran and Sunnah.

The training session was also addressed by Jamaat-e-Islami Nawabshah Ameer Najaf Raza and Professor Ijaz Alam.
