Sports – [Cricket, Pakistan] – Mansoor Rana congratulated by Pakistan Cricket Control Board, tribute to achievements

On the birthday of renowned coach Mansoor Rana on Saturday, who led Pakistan’s Under-19 team to victory in the 2006 World Cup, his multifaceted services to the country’s cricket as a player and administrator are being recognized by the Pakistan Cricket Control Board.

A formidable right-handed batsman, Rana had a stellar domestic career, in which he scored an impressive 12,026 runs in first-class cricket.

His all-round abilities also extended to bowling, where he took 20 wickets.

At the international level, he represented the national team in two One-Day Internationals and earned honors for Pakistan.

In addition to his coaching and playing stints, Rana also served the sport in a high-level administrative capacity by taking on the role of manager for Pakistan’s senior men’s team.
