Daily clashes among groups occupying green belt in Mirpurkhas, risk of major confrontation

Daily disputes over the occupation of green belts among land-grabbing groups have intensified, and fears of a major fatal confrontation are growing.

Daily brawls have become a common sight along the green belts adjacent to Khadim Ali Shah UC-4 and UC-3, as well as around Chandni Chowk Eidgah. Various criminal groups are allegedly systematically setting up illegal stalls, carts, and cabins on the Satellite Town green belt in exchange for hefty sums.

The rising hooliganism and encroachments at Eidgah Chandni Chowk have created an atmosphere of fear and panic among local residents. These groups are accused of engaging in open bullying, threats, and the display of weapons to establish their control, forcing citizens to live in constant danger.

Despite clear directives from the Supreme Court, the concerned administrative bodies, including the Anti-Encroachment Cell, Municipal Corporation, and district administration, have significantly failed to take any remedial action against the illegal occupations.

Civic circles have warned that if the administration does not intervene immediately to stop these daily fights and clear the encroachments, this constant fighting could tragically end in the loss of human lives.
