The Karachi United School Championship (KUSC), a long-standing school football tournament, is set to pursue a national expansion following a new title sponsorship agreement with Jubilee Life Insurance. The collaboration is intended to significantly bolster grassroots football development in Pakistan.
According to a report today, Jubilee Life Insurance has been named the Title Sponsor for the 21st edition of the championship. The alliance aims to foster young athletes, advocate for healthy living, and reinforce a grassroots foundation for sports across the country.
Recognised as one of the city”s most established and inclusive school-level sporting events, the KUSC offers a structured competitive environment for students from various backgrounds. The tournament focuses on developing discipline, teamwork, and confidence among young participants.
Mr. Farhan Faridi, Group Head of Retail Operations, Marketing and Administration at Jubilee Life, stated that the company sees sport as a crucial tool for physical well-being, social inclusion, and youth empowerment. “This partnership with KUSC reflects our broader commitment to building healthier, more active communities across Pakistan,” he said, linking the company”s investment in grassroots initiatives to its support for national platforms.
Echoing the forward-looking sentiment, Karachi United”s Director of Football, Mr. Ali Atta, highlighted the tournament”s role in promoting positive social change. “This partnership with Jubilee Life strengthens our ability to provide opportunities for children from diverse income groups and backgrounds,” he remarked. “Our ambition is to take the Karachi United School Championship to the national level.”
The joint initiative seeks to establish a sustainable framework for school football by giving young players access to organised competition and professional exposure. Both organisations anticipate the collaboration will contribute to a more robust talent pipeline for the sport, reinforcing the role of athletics in shaping future generations.
