President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry, has said that the Kashmiri people are continuing their struggle with steadfastness, courage, and bravery. He has strongly appealed to the United Nations and the international community to play their effective role in resolving the long-standing Kashmir dispute, and has alleged that Indian forces have crossed all limits of human rights violations.
In a special message today on the occasion of the Right to Self-Determination Day, Barrister Chaudhry praised the unwavering steadfastness, courage, and bravery of the Kashmiri people in the face of continuous oppression.
He stressed that despite the tactics of oppression and violence, the people have proven to the world that they can be suppressed, but their resolve cannot be broken, and they will never back down from their fundamental stance.
The President of Azad Kashmir highlighted that for the past seven decades, the residents of the region have made “unprecedented sacrifices” in their campaign for freedom and the right to self-determination and have always recognized the state of Jammu and Kashmir as an indivisible entity.
Concluding his statement, he reiterated his appeal for international action, urging the resolution of the issue in accordance with the existing United Nations resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
