Pakistan has articulated grave concerns at the United Nations regarding the recent escalation of violence in Yemen, highlighting the alarming new developments in the country”s long-standing conflict.
The statement was delivered by Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, during a UN Security Council briefing dedicated to the situation in the war-torn nation, according to MOIB information today.
During his address, the envoy reaffirmed Islamabad”s firm commitment to the unity, sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity of Yemen.
Ambassador Ahmad also welcomed ongoing regional initiatives aimed at fostering an environment conducive to dialogue and eventual reconciliation among the conflicting parties.
