Tight security arrangements for Chief Minister’s visit to Jhang, all shops and businesses closed on Chief Minister’s route

The forced closure of businesses and severe travel difficulties faced by local residents due to extensive security measures on the occasion of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s visit to Jhang on Wednesday has caused widespread public anger.

Para-force personnel and police forced shopkeepers to close their businesses along the Chief Minister’s entire route, sparking a wave of anger in the business community.

Under the strict security protocol, all routes leading from the city to Satellite Town were also completely blocked. Due to this blockade, hundreds of commuters were stranded and unable to return to their homes.

The Chief Minister was in the city for the formal inauguration of a new catheterization laboratory (cath lab) at the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital.

Upon her arrival, she was received by Health Minister Khawaja Imran Nazir and Commissioner Faisalabad amidst tight security arrangements.
