The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) successfully prevented a major terrorist attempt in Mianwali, an operation that earned commendation from Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif.

In a statement, the chief minister praised the timely and professional intervention of the CTD personnel, noting that their swift action averted a potential catastrophe. She paid tribute to the department”s operational excellence in neutralising the threat, according to a report today.

Reaffirming her administration”s resolute commitment to public safety, Maryam Nawaz Sharif pledged to protect the lives and property of citizens at all costs. “We will not rest until the monster of terrorism is eliminated from the country,” she asserted.

The chief minister underscored that the security of the public remains the provincial government”s principal priority. She added that no stone would be left unturned in the mission to ensure peace across Punjab.

This commendation follows the successful operation, which occurred amidst heightened security efforts throughout the province to counter militant threats and maintain law and order.
