Tehreek Tahaffuz-e-Aain Pakistan on Saturday formally requested the city’s business community for a complete shutter-down on February 8, aiming to intensify its public political movement.
A delegation from Tehreek Tahaffuz-e-Aain Pakistan, led by central leader Syed Zain Shah, accompanied by Nadeem Ahmed Rajput of PTI, held talks with representatives of the Shehri Tajir Ittehad.
The political leaders appealed to the alliance, which included Munir Ahmed Khokhar and Ghulam Murtaza Samoon, to ensure all trade centers remain closed for the success of the planned strike.
In their plea for solidarity, the delegation articulated their purpose with the slogan, “We have set out to save the country / Come walk with us.”
In response, the leadership of the city’s trader organization assured that the request would be considered. They indicated that a final decision would be made after an internal consultative meeting with fellow traders.
