Weather to remain cold and dry in most parts of country, Murree records freezing temperature

A severe cold wave is expected in the mountainous areas of the country during the night and morning hours, with the temperature recorded at the freezing point of zero degrees Celsius in the popular tourist destination of Murree on Wednesday morning.

According to a bulletin issued by the Meteorological Department today, the weather is likely to remain cold and dry in most parts of the country.

According to the temperatures recorded from various urban centers this morning, there is a cold wave across the country. The capital Islamabad and Peshawar recorded seven degrees Celsius, while Lahore recorded eleven degrees.

In the south, Karachi’s weather was relatively better where the temperature was seventeen degrees Celsius. In contrast, Quetta recorded a minimum of three degrees, Gilgit two, and Muzaffarabad recorded four degrees Celsius.

In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, according to the meteorological department’s forecast, the weather in Srinagar, Leh, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian, and Baramulla will remain cold with partly cloudy skies. Jammu is also expected to have partly cloudy skies.
