Pakistan’s National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) on Monday dispatched another 100 tonnes of humanitarian aid, mainly tents, to the people of Palestine, taking the total volume of aid provided by the country to 2,727 tonnes.
The latest shipment, which marks the 28th consignment sent under the Prime Minister”s special directives, was organised in collaboration with the Alkhidmat Foundation.
The relief supplies were transported via a special flight from Allama Iqbal International Airport to Al-arish, Egypt, for subsequent delivery into Gaza.
A formal sending-off ceremony at the airport was attended by Punjab Housing Minister, MPA Mian Bilal Yasin, who served as the chief guest. Senior figures from the NDMA, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), and representatives from other government departments and the Alkhidmat Foundation were also present.
The government reiterated its position, stating that Islamabad and the Pakistani people stand firmly with the people of Palestine and will continue all possible efforts to support them and address their humanitarian needs.
