Jamiat Talaba Arabia (JTA) Sindh President Asghar Ali Samejo, declaring the current government “fake” and illegitimate, has announced a major student protest sit-in at the provincial assembly in Karachi on February 14.
Speaking at a gathering of Jamaat-e-Islami District Badin on Monday, Samejo announced that his organization refuses to recognize this administration, accusing it of stealing the public mandate through rigged elections. He said, “The current government, instead of providing relief to the people, has looted them with both hands.”
Reacting to the recent bomb blast in Islamabad, the JTA leader expressed grief over the loss of life and termed the attack “clear proof of the government’s incompetence.” He strongly condemned the incident and demanded that the elements involved be arrested and brought to justice.
Samejo also called for further improvement in security measures and said that to ensure peace and order in the region, mosques, madrasas, and imambargahs should be protected.
He confirmed that a large number of students and teachers from JTA and religious madrasas will participate in the upcoming sit-in. JTA Sindh Deputy General Secretary Abdul Qadir Buledi, Ishaq Ahmed Amanullah, and other workers of the organization were also present at the address.
