The Government of Balochistan today officially announced a revised schedule with reduced working hours for all provincial government offices during the forthcoming holy month of Ramazan in 2026.
According to a circular issued by the Services and General Administration Department, the new timings are intended to facilitate government employees observing the fast.
For provincial departments and offices operating on a five-day work week, the new hours will be from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Thursday.
On Fridays, these offices will observe a shorter workday, closing at 1:00 PM.
A different schedule has been set for government organisations that function six days a week. These offices will operate from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Monday to Thursday and on Saturday.
The Friday timings for these six-day-a-week establishments will be from 9:00 AM until 12:00 PM.
The directive has instructed all departments to communicate the decision to the relevant staff working under their control.
The notification further clarified that the standard office hours will be fully restored immediately following the conclusion of Ramazan.
