Memon Assails Pre-Ramadan Fuel Price Surge, Urges Relief

Sindh’s Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon today voiced deep concern over the latest increase in petroleum product prices, stating the hike just before the holy month of Ramadan will severely intensify inflationary pressures on the public.

In a statement issued on the social media platform X, the senior minister articulated that the decision will particularly burden the nation’s poor and middle-class citizens, placing additional strain on their household budgets.

The new pricing structure reflects a rise of 5 rupees per litre for petrol and a 7.32 rupee per litre increase for diesel.

Senior Minister Memon urged the federal government to reconsider this move to raise fuel costs, calling on the administration to instead provide the people with genuine and meaningful economic relief.
