Laptop distribution begins for selected students at Khairpur University, strict documentation requirements for students

Selected students for the Prime Minister’s Laptop Scheme at Shah Abdul Latif University face a rigorous verification process, as the administration has mandated a comprehensive list of original and attested documents to acquire the laptops before the long-awaited distribution begins.

The official distribution of these computer devices will commence on Monday, February 23, 2026. The inaugural ceremony will be held at the Students’ Society Centre on the university campus at 9:30 AM, presided over by Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Yousuf Khushk.

The initiative aims to promote higher education and enhance digital facilities, and is exclusively for students who have been formally selected. The university administration has clarified that the equipment will only be given to pre-approved recipients.

To receive their laptops, eligible students must present their original National Identity Card (CNIC) along with one photocopy, one passport-sized photograph, and their original degree transcript or an official result card issued by the university.

The academic document must clearly state the Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) on which their application was approved. Furthermore, all supporting paperwork must be attested by the student’s respective head of department or a relevant officer.

For any additional information or specific queries, students have been directed to contact the Prime Minister’s Laptop Scheme office.
