Speaker Sindh Assembly, Syed Owais Qadir Shah, while lauding the constructive and responsible role of the Hindu community in promoting national unity, highlighted their response to the presidential appeal for harmony.
In his message on the occasion on Monday, Mr. Shah termed the festival as “a beautiful festival of colors, love, and brotherhood.”
The Speaker said that the province of Sindh has a long-standing tradition of being a custodian of tolerance, harmony, and interfaith respect.
Reiterating the state’s commitment to its citizens, Owais Qadir Shah said, “The Constitution of Pakistan guarantees equal rights and religious freedom to all citizens.”
He concluded by saying that a strong and peaceful society is fundamentally established on the principles of “national unity and mutual respect.”
