Chilly Nights to Grip Parts of Balochistan

The Meteorological Department Quetta Regional Centre announced on Monday that Balochistan is set to experience a period of cold and dry weather, with particularly frigid conditions expected during the night and morning hours in several districts over the next two days.

According to the forecast for the next 24 hours, the majority of the province will see predominantly dry and sunny conditions. The northern regions, however, may experience partly cloudy skies.

A persistent cold spell is anticipated to affect the Quetta division, along with the districts of Mastung, Kalat, Surab, and Ziarat, especially during nocturnal and early morning periods.

This weather pattern is projected to hold for the next 48 hours, with dry weather remaining widespread across Balochistan and the cold snap continuing in the aforementioned areas during night-time and morning.

The synoptic situation report confirmed that no rainfall was recorded anywhere in the province over the last 24 hours.

Temperature readings from the past day showed significant variation. Kalat recorded the lowest minimum temperature at 4.0°C, while Ziarat”s minimum was not reported. In the provincial capital, temperatures fluctuated between 6.5°C and 22.2°C across different localities. The highest temperature in the region was recorded in Labella at 35.0°C.
