Sukkur IBA University has launched three advanced technology laboratories aimed at equipping students with critical skills for the digital age, an initiative inaugurated by Member of National Assembly, Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah.
According to details, three newly established laboratories – Cyber Security Lab, 3D Animation and VFX Lab, and App Development Lab – were inaugurated on Saturday during a ceremony held at Academic Block-V of IBA University, Sukkur. Member of the National Assembly of Pakistan Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah attended the occasion as the chief guest.
The inauguration ceremony was held in the presence of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Asif Ahmed Sheikh, in which a large number of faculty members, officers and staff participated.
These new facilities have been established to bolster practical learning, research, and innovation opportunities for learners in rapidly emerging technological fields, focusing on modern competencies in cyber defence, digital media production, and mobile application development.
Speaking at the event, Chief Guest Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah commended the efforts of Sukkur IBA University in advancing quality education and technological progress in the region. He noted that such initiatives are vital in preparing the youth to meet contemporary economic challenges and contribute to national development.
In his remarks, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Asif Ahmed Shaikh expressed gratitude for the Chief Guest”s attendance and ongoing support. He emphasised that the establishment of modern laboratories reflects the academic body”s commitment to providing cutting-edge learning environments and fostering an innovative culture among its students.
Separately, a certificate distribution ceremony was conducted at the Administration Block, where members of the university’s horticulture team were presented with awards. The certificates were given in recognition of their dedicated service and contributions to maintaining the campus environment.
The day”s proceedings concluded with a brief tea hosted at the Vice Chancellor’s Office before the departure of the Chief Guest.
