Mirpurkhas education board controller dismissed for altering matric and intermediate results

The controller of the Mirpurkhas Board of Education has been removed from his post over serious allegations of altering matriculation and intermediate examination results and distributing fake certificates.

Provincial Minister for Universities and Boards, Muhammad Ismail Rahu, today confirmed the dismissal of Anwar Aleem Khanzada under Eand D rules. The dismissal followed the former controller’s non-cooperation with the official inquiry.

According to Minister Rahu, Mr. Khanzada neither responded to the show-cause notice nor appeared for a personal hearing regarding the serious allegations against him, leading to his dismissal.

The action is part of a broader crackdown on alleged corruption that took place between 2021 and 2025, during which authorities have already invalidated over 250 fake mark sheets and educational documents.

“This is just the beginning,” said Minister for Education Boards Ismail Rahu, confirming that rigorous investigations are underway against other officers, staff members, and agents believed to be part of this organized ring. He assured that further action would be taken in accordance with the law.

Sources within the education board stated that the systematic alteration of results and issuance of fake certificates were severely damaging students’ futures, compelling the provincial government to intervene decisively.

The scandal has raised concerns about the integrity of the local education system, with parents and student unions now demanding greater transparency and accountability.

More revelations are expected as the investigation continues, with the possibility of additional legal proceedings against the dismissed officer.
