Pakistan and Saudi Arabia today expressed deep concern over the ongoing ceasefire violations in Lebanon and stressed the urgent need for the ceasefire to be fully maintained to prevent further instability.
The shared concern was expressed during a telephonic conversation between Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and his Saudi counterpart, Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan, today.
Both senior diplomats emphasised the critical necessity for complete adherence to and execution of the ceasefire agreement, identifying it as essential for securing enduring peace and stability in the region.
During the conversation, Mr Dar conveyed Pakistan’s gratitude for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia”s consistent backing of Islamabad”s initiatives aimed at achieving lasting peace.
The two leaders concluded their discussion with a mutual agreement to maintain close and continuous communication on the matter.
