Mobilink Bank and HBL Zarai Services Collaborate to Boost Agricultural Financing for Pakistani Farmers

Islamabad: Mobilink Bank, a leading digital microfinance bank in Pakistan, has entered into a partnership with HBL Zarai Services Limited to enhance agricultural financing for underserved communities. The collaboration, under the 'Zarkhez-e' Asaan Digital Zarai Qarza Scheme, aims to improve access to structured, in-kind financing for farmers across the nation.

According to Mobilink Bank, the partnership will link financing with essential agricultural inputs and services, ensuring that credit is utilized for productive purposes and contributes to improved farm-level outcomes. The initiative will also leverage digital channels to streamline the disbursement and transaction processes.

HBL Zarai, as an approved Agricultural Services Provider, will provide farmers access to high-quality agricultural inputs, ongoing agronomic advisory, and mechanization services on a pay-per-use basis. This closed-loop model aims to enhance transparency, minimize inefficiencies, and strengthen farmers' economic resilience by connecting financing with input utilization and market access.

Harris Mahmood Chaudhary, President and CEO of Mobilink Bank, emphasized the bank's commitment to expanding access to finance in a practical and meaningful way by integrating credit with inputs, advisory, and market access. Amer Aziz, CEO of HBL Zarai Services Limited, highlighted the importance of combining financial access with on-ground agricultural services to improve productivity and market outcomes for farmers.

The collaboration between Mobilink Bank and HBL Zarai seeks to enhance coordination, streamline service delivery, and scale in-kind agricultural financing across key agricultural regions, supporting national goals for sustainable agriculture and economic growth.
