HEC Pledges Robust Support for Pakistan-Oman Academic Ties

The Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan today reiterated its profound dedication to fostering robust institutional ties and expanding bilateral cooperation with the Sultanate of Oman, aiming to translate discussions into concrete academic partnerships.

Executive Director HEC Dr. Zia Ul Haq recently held a consultation with Consul General Oman Engr. Sami Abdullah Al-Khanjari at the Consulate General of the Sultanate of Oman in Karachi.

The HEC delegation included Advisor (Research and Innovation Division) HEC Dr. Muhammad Ali Nasir, Member HEC Commission Dr. Aurangzeb Khan, and the Vice Chancellor of Dewan University Karachi. Central to the discussion was the establishment of a resilient framework for academic affiliations between the higher education sectors of both Pakistan and Oman.

During the session, Dr Zia affirmed HEC’s resolve to broaden cooperation with Oman. He underscored that the HEC would provide extensive assistance to expedite collaborative ventures, citing the profound brotherly relations between the two nations as a bedrock for academic distinction.

Engr. Sami Abdullah Al-Khanjari commended the proactive stance of HEC in advancing higher education. He conveyed the Sultanate”s keen interest in transforming these dialogues into practical alliances that would benefit the youth and scholarly communities in both countries.

The consultation concluded with a mutual understanding to formulate a detailed roadmap for subsequent interactions, thereby ensuring that the opportunities identified lead to verifiable academic achievements.
