Severe Heat, Floods and Environmental Threats have Affected Millions: Sindh CM

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, in his message today on World Earth Day, highlighted the severe degradation of the Earth due to environmental change, pollution, and human activities, revealing that severe heat, floods, and various environmental threats have affected millions of people. He emphasized that protecting the planet is a shared responsibility.

The provincial chief executive termed deforestation and the destruction of important ecosystems as alarming trends. He emphasized that healthy ecosystems are fundamental for human prosperity and a robust future.

To address these challenges, the head of the provincial government stressed the urgent need to promote sustainable development and harmony between humanity and nature.

Mr. Shah confirmed that the Sindh government is taking practical measures for environmental protection. He informed that efforts are focused on extensive tree plantation campaigns, coastal protection, and forest restoration across the province.

Making the region green and lush is the administration’s top priority, which has pledged to guarantee a clean and safe environment for future generations. Finally, the Chief Minister urged the public to adopt eco-friendly lifestyles and to use energy and resources cautiously, appealing for concerted action to secure the planet’s future.
