A government primary school located in a village near Nasirabad is suffering from severe infrastructure deficiencies, including lack of electricity, water, and furniture, as well as the deteriorating condition of the building. The headmaster has made an urgent appeal to the Sindh government and higher authorities for immediate intervention.
These concerns were raised during the ceremony held today where free books were distributed to the students of Government Boys Primary School located in the village of Panhal Khan Chanjani.
Sudhir Ahmed Chanjani, the school’s headmaster, expressed satisfaction over the visible happiness among children upon receiving their educational materials. He termed the provision of books as “an excellent initiative,” noting that all educational institutions in Sindh have received these free resources.
Mr. Chanjani highlighted the extreme importance of schooling, urging parents to ensure their children attend classes, stating that “nothing is more important than education.” He described knowledge as “the third eye of man” and presented the idea that the best individuals are those who both acquire and impart knowledge.
He expressed hope that every child in the area would be illuminated by “the light of education” and suggested that the presence of competent teachers could significantly elevate educational standards. However, he explicitly highlighted the existing deficiencies faced by the institution.
The headmaster stated that the school is currently operating without basic facilities such as electricity and water, lacks essential furniture, and has a deteriorating building condition, including its boundary wall. Therefore, he appealed to the provincial government and senior officials for the provision of basic facilities and additional teaching staff to enhance educational standards.
