Raheela Hameed Khan Durrani visited Government Girls College Quetta Road on Friday, where she attended a climate change awareness event and flower exhibition as the chief guest.
During the event, students displayed a wide variety of beautiful flowers, ornamental plants, and creatively designed flowerpots. A special flower exhibition was also organized, which received great appreciation from the participants. The provincial minister praised the students for their creativity and environmentally conscious approach.
Speaking to PPI, Raheela said climate change had become a global challenge, and its impacts were clearly being felt across Pakistan, including Balochistan. She stressed that creating awareness among the younger generation about environmental protection and promoting tree plantation was the need of the hour.
She urged students to play an active role in keeping the environment clean, green, and safe. The provincial minister also congratulated college principal Farrukh Bashir and the administration for organizing an impressive flower exhibition. She distributed certificates of appreciation among students for their outstanding performances and reaffirmed her commitment to supporting such positive and constructive initiatives in the future to further promote environmental awareness and the importance of plants among students.
A large number of teachers and students participated in the event.
