During the Anti-Crime Campaign, 29 Police Encounters, 02 Suspects Killed, 37 Injured, 55 Suspects Arrested

Karachi police have achieved significant success in efforts to curb crime over the past week. Targeting various criminal activities across the city, more than 1,263 suspects have been arrested in the Eastern, Western, and Southern zones.

According to the report released today of the week’s operations, police engaged in 29 encounters with robbers, resulting in the death of two suspects, while 55 were arrested, including 37 who were injured. A large cache of illegal weapons was seized, including 52 different types of firearms, two hand grenades, and 17 motorcycles.

In a parallel crackdown against drugs, law enforcement officials seized large quantities of narcotics from various locations. This included 30 kilograms and 825 grams of hashish, 5 kilograms and 902 grams of crystal methamphetamine, and 3 kilograms and 369 grams of heroin, indicating a strong effort against drug distribution networks.

Furthermore, investigations resulted in the recovery of over 243 illegal weapons and ammunition, used in various criminal incidents, highlighting the ongoing threat posed by armed criminal elements. Alongside these efforts, police recovered 42 snatched and stolen motorcycles and five large vehicles, demonstrating a concerted effort to tackle the issue of theft and robbery.
