Group conflict in Karachi Lines Area, 7 people injured by knife attacks, 2 robbers arrested from Orangi Town, Chakiwara, others fled

Violent clashes and police encounters took place in Karachi on Tuesday, resulting in several injuries and arrests.

Near Thanvi Mosque in the Lines Area, a personal dispute escalated into a violent clash between two groups, resulting in knife injuries to seven individuals. The injured were identified as Shahid, Nadeem, Muaz, Basit Hussain, Sharjeel, Saqib Hussain, and Kamran, who were immediately transferred to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center. Police have launched a comprehensive investigation to determine the root causes of the conflict.

Meanwhile, in Orangi Town Sector 6-E Banaras Market, there was an exchange of gunfire between police and armed robbers. During this, a suspect, Taimur son of Mahmood Ahmed, was arrested in an injured state, while his accomplice managed to escape. Authorities recovered a pistol, bullets, and a motorcycle from the scene, and further investigations are underway to apprehend the fleeing suspect.

In a related incident, the backdrop was set for another police and robbers encounter near Rabani Mosque on Mirza Adam Khan Road in Chakiwara. After an exchange of fire, an injured suspect, Aurangzeb son of Parvez, was arrested. However, his accomplice evaded arrest. Police seized a firearm, bullets, a mobile phone, and cash from the scene. The injured suspect was transferred to the hospital, and investigations are ongoing to capture the fugitive.

These incidents highlight the ongoing challenges faced by law enforcement agencies to maintain law and order amid rising crime rates in the city.
