Special Assistant to the Balochistan Chief Minister on Media Shahid Rind said on Friday that the Government of Balochistan had decided to send Dr. Mahnoor Nasar to the United States for further specialised treatment.
In a statement issued here, he said that on the directive of Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti, a decision had been taken regarding the overseas medical treatment of Lady Doctor Mahnoor Nasar, who was the victim of an acid attack at Sandeman Provincial Hospital, Quetta.
He said that the Chief Minister’s Secretariat had issued an official letter to the concerned authorities regarding Dr. Mahnoor Nasar’s treatment abroad.
He further stated that Dr. Mahnoor Nasar was currently undergoing treatment at Aga Khan Hospital in Karachi, and that her treatment would continue for another week. He added that she would then be sent to the United States for further specialised treatment. He also said that the Balochistan government had initiated the necessary procedures in this regard and was utilising all available resources to provide the affected lady doctor with the best possible medical facilities.
