Pakistan on Monday launched the registration process for citizens intending to perform Hajj in 2027, with authorities urging prospective pilgrims to complete the mandatory pre-registration phase before the formal booking process begins.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs said aspiring pilgrims can register through its official online portal from June 22, adding that advance registration is a prerequisite for participation in the Hajj 2027 scheme.
According to the ministry, applicants are not required to possess a passport at the initial registration stage. However, a valid passport will be mandatory at the time of Hajj booking. The ministry specified that passports submitted during the booking process must remain valid until at least Nov. 16, 2027.
Officials said only individuals who complete the pre-registration process will be eligible to secure a Hajj booking when reservations formally open.
The ministry further stated that bookings would be processed on a first-come, first-served basis, with applications accepted until Pakistan’s allocated Hajj quota is exhausted.
Separately, Bank Al Habib announced that pre-registration for Hajj 2027 has also commenced through its nationwide branch network. The bank said intending pilgrims can visit their nearest branch to complete the registration process.
The bank added that no registration fee would be charged during the pre-registration stage and that registered applicants would be eligible to participate in the Hajj Scheme 2027 once the booking process is formally launched.
