Safe arrival in Karachi of 22 crew members from the Iranian vessel Lenor/Davina, detained by US authorities

Twenty-two crew members of the Iranian vessel Lenor/Davina-recently detained by US authorities-have safely arrived in Karachi with Pakistan’s assistance.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar announced on the platform X today that preparations are underway, in coordination with Iranian missions in Pakistan, to ensure the swift and safe repatriation of these individuals.

Pakistan maintained continuous communication with both US and Iranian officials throughout the process. According to Dar, this marks the fourth instance in the past two months where Pakistan has facilitated the repatriation of Iranian crew members.

So far, over seventy Iranian nationals have been assisted in their return via Pakistan. Dar expressed gratitude towards the Iranian leadership for placing trust in Pakistan”s assistance.

He also praised the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other Pakistani institutions for their professionalism and dedication in ensuring the smooth repatriation process.
