Security forces in Pakistan have killed eight terrorists affiliated with Indian proxy group Fitna-ul-Hindistan during two intelligence-led operations in Kharan and Mastung districts of Balochistan today.
The operations were carried out in response to intelligence reports indicating the movement of a terrorist group in Kharan district on the 25th of this month. Acting on these leads, the security forces engaged the enemy with precision, resulting in the killing of three insurgents and injuring several others.
In a subsequent operation in Mastung District, another group of terrorists, including a suicide bomber, was pre-emptively targeted and neutralized. This action led to the demise of five more extremists.
A cache of weapons, ammunition, improvised explosive devices, and motorbikes was seized during these operations, indicating the level of preparedness and intent of the insurgents.
The security forces are continuing with sanitisation operations in the region to locate and dismantle any remaining elements of the Indian-sponsored group, as part of the ongoing counter-terrorism initiative dubbed “Azm e Istehkam”. This campaign is focused on eradicating foreign-influenced terrorism from Pakistan.
