Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif today ordered the development of a robust strategy in collaboration with the State Bank and commercial banks to facilitate loan access for small and medium enterprises (SMEs), aimed at boosting national exports.
During a review meeting of the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority in the capital, the Prime Minister emphasized the need to enhance facilities for SMEs, particularly in obtaining loans. He highlighted the significant role of these businesses in the economic landscape and their potential for export growth.
Shehbaz Sharif stressed the importance of improving the capabilities of SMEs, especially those involved in agricultural production and fruit processing, through increased awareness and financial support.
The Prime Minister further encouraged commercial banks to innovate and offer specific loan products tailored to the needs of SMEs, ensuring that financial resources are more accessible to these businesses.
