A tragic incident occurred near Wagharji Stop in Kot Ghulam Muhammad today, where an exorcism ritual proved fatal, resulting in the death of a young girl and severe injuries to another.
This unfortunate incident involved a sorcerer, identified as Ramu Kolhi, who allegedly injured two young girls during the exorcism ceremony. The victims included 12-year-old Dhani and 14-year-old Premhi, who sustained severe injuries. Premhi, the elder of the two, succumbed to her injuries, leaving the community in shock.
The girls’ uncle, Karmo Kolhi, and their brother were also affected when they were rendered unconscious after consuming a drink given during the incident. Following the attack, Dhani and her uncle were transferred to Hyderabad Civil Hospital for medical treatment.
Law enforcement authorities have arrested the sorcerer Ramu Kolhi as they further examine the circumstances surrounding this horrific incident. Family members have accused the sorcerer of further attacks on the girls, prompting the police to initiate a thorough investigation.
After the tragedy, the deceased’s body was handed over to the family after a post-mortem, providing some solace as legal proceedings continue.
