Karachi Timely action by police in Defense Society, 2 habitual thieves and wanted criminals arrested

Today, Darakhshan Police effectively curbed criminal activities by arresting two notorious thieves in the Defense Housing Authority (DHA) area of Karachi. The operation, carried out on a reliable tip-off, resulted in the arrest of suspects in Badar Commercial, Phase V, and the recovery of tools used in theft.

The suspects have been identified as Harry son of Pervez Sohail and Muzammil Shafiq son of Muhammad Shafiq, who have a history of targeting commercial flats to steal household items. Their arrest foiled a planned theft.

In the initial investigation, the detainees confessed to using special tools for breaking locks and conducting theft operations. The police confiscated these tools, which included a screwdriver, ring wrenches, a fixed wrench, a screw wrench, a T-wrench, and various master keys. The vehicle, a motorcycle, used in their criminal acts was also seized.

Further investigation revealed that both individuals are repeat offenders, with a history of arrests at multiple police stations in Karachi. They are also fugitives in ongoing court cases.

An FIR number 493/2026 has been registered against them under sections 399, 401, and 34 of the Pakistan Penal Code. Authorities have collected their previous crime records and hope to obtain more crucial information during the investigation.
