Rain with thunder expected in most parts of the country including Kashmir

The Meteorological Department has forecast rain with thunder in several parts of the country today with partly cloudy weather, which is a cause of concern for residents and authorities.

These weather conditions are expected to be faced in southeastern Sindh, upper and central Punjab, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, as well as northeastern and southern Balochistan. Particularly in southeastern Sindh, Kashmir, and northeastern and central Punjab, heavy rain may occur during this period.

In major cities, morning temperatures indicated a warm start to the day, with 25 degrees Celsius recorded in Islamabad, 27 degrees Celsius in Lahore and Peshawar, and a slightly warm 28 degrees Celsius in Karachi. In Quetta and Muzaffarabad, 23 degrees Celsius was recorded, while in Gilgit, 22 degrees Celsius was recorded. Murree, known for its cool weather, recorded a chill of 16 degrees Celsius.

Residents of affected areas are advised to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions in view of the severe weather, especially in areas where heavy rain is expected.
