A heartbreaking incident occurred today in Okara when a young girl fell and drowned in the 2L canal of Renala city. The girl has been identified as Gulshan, who was only seven years old and a resident of Model Town.
According to her mother, the young girl left the house intending to buy something from a nearby shop. Unfortunately, she fell victim to a dangerous situation that led to her death.
A diligent worker from the Saaf Punjab Agency saw the girl falling into the canal and immediately jumped into the canal to rescue her. Despite his brave efforts, and although the agency workers retrieved Gulshan from the water, she could not survive.
